I was born and raised in Decorah and love the Driftless Area of Northeast Iowa. I love trout fishing and the many outdoor activities this area has to offer. I taught school in Decorah for 29 years, coached sports and was the middle school activities director. I’m a member of our church council and teach confirmation , I’m President of the Friends of the Decorah Fish Hatchery, and I broadcast Decorah and surrounding schools sporting events on KVIK radio in Decorah and also host a radio show called “ Our Town”.

Decorah is home for my wife Kari and I, we have three grown children. Decorah is a wonderfully and unique place to live with a very vibrant town as well as a commercial hub for Northeast Iowa. Luther College adds a diverse and exciting dynamic to the Decorah area.
